The BMW 7-Series comes in three trims, 740i, 750e and 760i xDrive. The 740i models are powered by a 3.0L turbocharged inline-six that produces 375 horsepower, with power sent to the rear wheels or all wheels via xDrive paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 760i xDrive sends power to all four wheels through a 4.4L twin turbo V8 with 536 horsepower and 553 lb.-ft. The new 750e is powered by a 3.0L turbocharged six-cylinder that produces 308 horsepower mated to an electric motor that boosts the horsepower to 483 and provides an all-electric range of 34 miles. The BMW 7-Series is replete with impressive technology. The grille features active aerodynamic fins that automatically open when cooling required or close to maximize fuel economy. Auto-leveling air suspension is standard on the 7-Series. Drivers may modify suspension settings on the fly to provide improved feel and response or to soften and gain comfort as the road and driving conditions permit. The all-digital touchscreen interface now responds to gesture commands as well as the conventional voice commands or BMW's iDrive controller. Standard features on the 740i are as plentiful as would be expected on a luxury sedan at this price. LED headlights are standard, as is BMW's intelligent Display Key, with a touchscreen fob that reports various information about the car. 20-inch alloy wheels are standard as are heated and power folding side mirrors, plus heated leather seating and heated armrests. The interior features wood trim, an 18-speaker sound system with a 14.9-inch touchscreen that integrates navigation and a drive recorder. A year-long subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio is also included. Automatic 4-zone climate control, cruise control, a power opening and closing trunk, rain sensing windshield wipers, park distance control (both front and rear) and wireless charging are also included as standard. The 760i xDrive adds heated and ventilated power front seats with memory settings, 4-zone climate control, leather upholstery and a heated leather steering wheel. Standard safety systems include Lane Departure Warning, Active Blind Spot Detection, Frontal Collision Warning, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, City Collision Mitigation, driver attention alert, Speed Limit Info and Parking Assistant Plus.
